ALASDAIR PARKINSON
COMPOSER – PRODUCER – GUITARIST
Alasdair is a British composer based between Edinburgh and London. He writes music for Universal Production Music, Extreme Music, BBC Production Music, Sonoton, APM, London Sync and his work has featured on major outlets such as Netflix, Disney+, ITV, and ESPN. Recent placements of Alasdair’s music include: Jimmy Kimmel Live, Formula 1: Drive To Survive, NBC 2026 Winter Olympics, and BBC Panorama.
Alasdair’s piece ‘Questions Not Answers’ was nominated for the 2025 Production Music Award’s ‘Best Drama Score Production Music Track’.
Graduate of Berklee College of Music on a scholarship (Summa Cum Laude). Winner of the Berklee Contemporary Writing and Production Achievement award and BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year Semi-finalist.

The Grand Peculiar
Alasdair collaborated with Louise Dowd to write two pieces for the album. A fusion of dramatic string writing, vocalise and quirky sound effects. Released with Beacon Music on Universal Production music.
Amsterdam Empire Trailer
Alasdair was brought on by Netflix’s Music Lab team to rearrange and trailerize the show’s original song ‘Pour Toujours’ for the new series ‘Amsterdam Empire’ premiering 30th October.
Long Way Home
Released in May 2025 on Apple TV+, Alasdair worked as an orchestrator and assistant on Charlie’s Jefferson’s score. The series follows Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman’s adventure around Europe on motorcycles.
